Future Concepts for Maintenance (FCM) Subcommittee

The objective of the FCM Subcommittee is to foster the development of maintenance concepts for digital avionics equipment, promote the use of BITE and central maintenance concepts.

This includes the development of test equipment system standards that will allow airlines to achieve commonality of test programs and transportability of test programs between avionics, airframe and airline ATE.

A priority is to minimize the impact of No Fault Found (NFF) and to reduce the cost of routine maintenance. This is achieved through the development of maintenance tools and improved avionics maintenance strategies.
