International Forum will be a Virtual meeting scheduled for February 1-2, 2021.
SAE ITC and ARINC Industry Activities (IA) invite commercial air transport professionals to the Airlines Electronic Engineering Committee (AEEC) Data Link Users Forum (DLUF) to be held on February 1-2, 2021. This meeting will be 100% virtual. The DLUF Co Chairs are Brian Gleason, Southwest Airlines and Steinarr Bragason, Icelandair. The DLUF Secretary is Vic Nagowski, ARINC IA/SAE ITC.
The DLUF gathers leading air/ground communications experts from airlines and cargo carriers, aircraft manufacturers, avionics manufacturers, ANSPs, and data link service providers (DSP) for open discussions on the status and performance of global Controller-Pilot Data Link Communication (CPDLC) Programs. Technical issues impacting CPDLC operation are presented and discussed. The goal is issue resolution and to minimize nuisance “NO COMM” situations. Attendees are updated on Global Data Link mandates allowing operators to proactively program retrofits and certification.
Presentations and Topics scheduled for this year’s DLUF include:
The forum affords both airspace users and ATS service providers an opportunity to coordinate datalink applications, identifying problems, exchange operational experience, and to enhance their air to ground and ground to air communications.
