About EFB Users Forum

This activity provides a unified forum for airlines, system integrators, hardware and software providers, regulators, and other interested parties to present and discuss topics of interest to the EFB user community. This includes but is not limited to EFB subjects such as:

  • Regulatory changes
  • Communication interfaces (including media, provider, connectivity)
  • Data input devices, terminals, displays, and interactive devices
  • Hardware and software development
  • Electrical interfaces and power supply
  • Operational issues

The EFB Users Forum attracts airlines, suppliers, and regulators to discuss operational and technical trends. Speakers are invited to share their experiences and exchange information to identify issues and their potential solutions. This activity provides benefits to the aviation community by:

  • Clarifying in-service issues
  • Supporting operational enhancements
  • Promoting interchangeability of hardware and compatibility of software
  • Increasing competition and product offerings
  • Encouraging harmonized regulations
  • Publicizing EFB developments
  • Advancing new EFB applications

Ground Transportation

The Westin Lombard Yorktown Center Hotel is located approximately 18 miles from Chicago O'Hare International Airport and 24 miles for Chicago Midway Airport. There are several methods of getting to the hotel.

  • Taxi: Please contact City Suburban Taxi 
    • Travel time is approximately 25 minutes from Chicago O'Hare and the fare will be approximately $35.00 
    • From Midway International the travel time is approximately 35 minutes and the fare will be approximately $40.00
  • Limousine
  • Rental Car
    • There is complimentary self-parking at the hotel. Valet parking is also available for an additional charge
  • Uber
    • The fare will be approximately $20.00

 

Online Registration 

An EFB Users Forum Badge is required for all activities related to the EFB Users Forum to include the technical meeting, exhibit areas, receptions, etc.

    • Non-Member/Non-Sponsor Exhibitors: 1 Complimentary Registration*

    * Non-member/non-sponsor organizations holding an exhibit booth are extended one complimentary admission. The individual designated to receive the complimentary admission will receive an invitation to register and must register on line to take advantage of the complimentary meeting attendance.

    On-site registration will be conveniently located close to the conference and exhibit space.

    Exhibitor Information

    The Main EFB Exposition (EXPO) will take place on Tuesday, June 25, 2019, from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm. EFB suppliers, system integrators, and others will have an opportunity to demonstrate their EFB products and services to the user community. A stand-up buffet will be included . A Supplemental EXPO will also be held during coffee breaks and lunch on Wednesday, June 26, 2019. 

    All individuals participating in the EXPO, the Users Forum, and/or associated activities of the conference must register online to obtain a badge and guarantee seating. 

    There are many opportunities for you at the EFB Users Forum. 

    Logistics will be handled by the hotel. More information will be provided as it becomes available.

    Sponsorship Information

    If you wish to enhance your company's visibility beyond the EXPO, sponsorships are available.

    EXPO Social Sponsorships

    This includes hosted beverages and buffet on Tuesday June 25, 2019.

    Should you elect this sponsorship, your company will be named in meeting presentations and reports, your company name and logo will be projected during the break, recognition of your sponsorship will be added to the EFB Users Forum Mobile App, and takeaways may be distributed. You will also have the opportunity to convey a short message (three minutes or less) to the captive audience verbally or with a pre-recorded video. 

    Break Sponsorships

    Coffee breaks are on Wednesday June 26, 2019 and Thursday June 27, 2019. Morning and afternoon refreshments include coffee, tea, water, and light snacks.
