Internet Protocol Suite (IPS) Subcommittee Meeting Report. Meeting held October 21-23, 2019, in Annapolis, Maryland.

Collins Aerospace hosted the IPS Subcommittee meeting at its office complex in Annapolis, Maryland.

The IPS Subcommittee reviewed inputs to ARINC Project Paper 858: Internet Protocol Suite (IPS) for Aeronautical Safety Services – Technical Requirements.

The following topics were discussed pursuant to the development of ATN/IPS safety services:

  • ATN/IPS Airborne Architecture
  • ATN/IPS Mobility Management
  • ATN/IPS Security
  • Gateway Requirements and Ground Architecture Considerations

Inputs to Supplement 1 to ARINC Report 658: Internet Protocol Suite (IPS) for Aeronautical Safety Services – Roadmap Document are being considered per APIM 15-004A.

The next in-person meeting is scheduled for December 9-13, 2019 in Brussels, Belgium. Joint meeting time will be scheduled with EUROCAE WG-108 and RTCA SC-223. EUROCONTROL will host the meeting.
