Systems Architecture and Interfaces (SAI) Subcommittee Meeting Report. Meeting held June 19-21, 2019, in Toulouse, France.
Airbus hosted the SAI Subcommittee in Toulouse.
The SAI Subcommittee reviewed proposals for distributed radio architectures for Communication, Navigation, and Surveillance (CNS) radios.
Aircraft e-Enablement was discussed in the context of developing a standardized aircraft interface applicable to Airbus and Boeing. A new APIM 16-015 is being prepared to re-scope the activity.
The Timely Recovery of Flight Data (TRFD) Working Group reported its progress in developing specifications for data streaming and deployable recorders used in conjunction with Global Aircraft Tracking.
Eight new APIMs were supported by the SAI Subcommittee in anticipation of the AEEC Mid-Term Session in Seattle.
The next SAI Subcommittee meeting will be held October 8-9, 2019 at the Boeing Training Facility in Renton, Washington. The meeting will be followed by the AEEC Mid-Term Session to be held October 10-11, 2019.
