Test Program Set (TPS) Quality Working Group Meeting Report. Meeting held March 5-7, 2019, in Cocoa Beach, Florida.

The Test Program Set (TPS) Quality Working Group met to create or modify material intended for Supplement 4 to ARINC Report 625: Industry Guide for Component Test Development and Management.

The group completed several objectives for the TPS work. These include:

  • The group reviewed the Test Specification (TS) Quality Checklist in its entirety and removed redundancy.
  • New sections on Predefined Function and Special Tools/Test Equipment were added based on the updated TS Quality Checklist.
  • The group discussed test implementation equivalencies. If test steps of the TS are not implemented literally, equivalently implemented test steps must be demonstrated (e.g., analysis, calculation, simulation, etc.) and documented. Such equivalently implemented test steps are not considered a deviation from the TS and do not need to be noted in the conformance certificate.

Draft 6 of Supplement 4 to ARINC Report 625 will be prepared for circulation for industry review.

The next meeting of the TPS Working Group is scheduled for June 4-6, 2019, in Hamburg, Germany, hosted by Lufthansa Technik.
